End of the Quarter Celebrations
Last weekend, we headed to Sin City to celebrate Heather's bachelorette party.
Yes, it was Memorial Weekend. Yes, there were a million people. And yes, it was hot! But, we enjoyed hanging out by the pool and eating delicious food before heading to the clubs.
While Trev did not partake in the bachelorette party extravaganza, we still had time to explore Las Vegas together. We took the monorail from The Excalibur to Mandalay Bay and walked about half a mile to the famous "Welcome to Last Vegas" sign. We walked back toward the Strip and visited The Luxor, NY NY, and a few other hotels (see photo slideshow). We probably logged about 10 miles of walking during the weekend. I was happy to leave the smoke, crowds, and heat behind as we returned to Santa Barbara (ahh...clean air!).
This weekend, we drove to Pismo Beach to celebrate our upcoming 5th wedding anniversary (June 11, 2007). We walked around the quaint beach town, found a spot to sit on the pier and watch the waves, and then made our way to our hotel, the Shore Cliff Lodge. Our hotel was situated atop cliffs over the ocean. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our balcony. We enjoyed sunset dinner at the Ventana Grill restaurant right on top of the ocean. And, we stopped by the Pismo Outlets to get our fill of Nike gear. See the slideshow: click here.
Looking Ahead:
Trev and I will be spending our summer working with kids (Trev will be at the Boys & Girls Club and I will be at the YMCA) and we're both very excited to attend my sister's wedding in Newport in August!
