Philadelphia & Washington Capitals NHL Game
Love Statue at UPenn
Trev and I took a 3.5 hour bus ride to Philadelphia for a weekend getaway. It rained the entire day in Philadelphia, but that didn't stop us from exploring the city. We met a friend of mine, Jillian, who is attending Medical School at UPenn and she gave us a tour of the beautiful campus. Then we visited the sights, including the famous Love Statue, City Hall, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross' House, and Elfreth's Alley. We enjoyed spending the night in a nice hotel near Rittenhouse Square and then returned to DC just in time to watch the Superbowl (Go Packers!).
The following week we went to watch the Washington Capitals take on the San Jose Sharks in a fun NHL matchup. Unfortunately, the Capitals lost, but it was quite a spectacular event. The Verizon Center was sold out and almost everyone had on Capitals jerseys/shirts.
