Iguazu Falls!

Iguazu Falls: View from the Brazilian Side

Pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/traveltt/

We survived the Portuguese in Brazil and flew to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The city is very beautiful - right next to the water, huge streets with grass medians, lots of old Spanish style architecture!

We spent a day at the Buenos Aires Zoo, which had over 2000 animals, including: white tigers, grizzly bears, penguins, peacocks, cheetahs, and leopards. We also got to watch the hilarious sea lion show with all the school kids.

After a quick visit in Buenos Aires, we flew to Puerto Iguazu, where we spent two days (one in Argentina, one in Brazil) seeing the gigantic Iguazu Falls National Park.

The waterfalls were jaw-droppingly stunning. We even took a boat ride straight into the falls (Trev and I sat in the front!) and got completely soaked as we stared into the white abyss and were pounded by the falling water.

The Brazilian side had far better views of all of the falls, however, on the Argentina side, we got to stand on top of the Devil´s Throat water fall and look straight down into the mist, while hearing the loud rumbling of the water hitting the rocks below.

Up Next:
Ushuaia, Argentina (the very tip of Argentina) -
our dock city for our cruise to Antarctica!!
I´m not sure if we will post before then, but at this page: http://gapadventures.mytripjournal.com/traveltt
you will be able to follow our boat with daily updates of where it is and you can also check out the trip itinerary.

Hi Torrey & Trevor,
We're sure glad you two are OK!!
We hope you got to take your cameras on the lifeboats and have lots of pictures. KUSI TV here in San Diego wants to talk with you. Oh. BTW. You could probably to sell you images to Time, CNN, etc. Contact them ASSP. And If you have your camera, get some interviews of fellow passengers (and yourselves, of course).

Have a safe trip home.
Love,
Gail & Bill
