Remembering Lily

Hello all,

Our family member, Lily the chihuahua, passed away this morning. We've been mourning the loss and it's been pretty difficult, since she was our baby. It was pretty sudden even though we'd been worried about her for the past week (her stomach was bloated, but the vet didn't find anything wrong).

We had her since August 29th, 2009 (for 3 years and 8 months; she was about 8 years old) and our lives have been forever changed. She was our pet, our best friend, our loyal companion, and our photogenic princess. I couldn't have imagined a better pet. She rarely barked, rarely complained, never shook (like the stereotypical chihuahua), and never ate up our furniture; she was very low maintenance. She loved to be on our lap or laying next to us. The cutest thing she'd do was to put her paw up when she wanted food. Torrey loved to pick her up and have her dance with her little chicken legs, so cute.

We plan on getting another chihuahua, but we could never think of replacing her. She was unique and amazing.
